Senior editor Phil Harris has 30 years experience in taking complicated tax material and making it understandable. He writes with clarity to explain tax laws, and gives numerous examples to make learning easier. Phil is a Professor in the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics, University of Wisconsin, Madison, and has been involved as an author of this type material since 1980.

Associate Linda Curry has recently retired from the Internal Revenue Service after 22 years of service. Linda has spent her career on making tax law understandable for both IRS employees and taxpayers. An enrolled agent who is completing work on a masters degree in accountancy at the Indiana University Kelley School of Business, Linda frequently conducts continuing professional education seminars for tax practitioners, and has been an instructor at the Purdue University Income Tax Schools annually since 1990.

Our editors also contract with several other university members to write portions of the book. This is a special advantage because these authors are often specialists on a certain topic.
